Skill Drill Training has been proudly providing high quality technical skills training to soccer players of all levels with an emphasis on high rep training and small sided games to maximize each player’s touches on the ball. This is achieved by providing a consistent combination of different types of training which include high rep technical work, rondos, tiki taka, 1v1s, small games, and futsal. We are located in Chandler, Az but will soon be expanding to provide our services in other parts of the valley. What differentiates us from other options is our ability to truly connect with our players and provide an environment that celebrates creativity, hard work, attitude, and leadership over talent alone. We are also independent from any club where our interest is on individual player development and we have no interest in recruiting them. The focus is on developing the individual talents of each player so they may be successful in any soccer environment that they choose to play. We have built a system to take skill development and confidence to the next level by taking the model of personal training, camps, clinics which are short term and higher priced, to a model that is affordable, thereby allowing for long term skills training. Our Background
Skill Drill Training began back in 2015 after recognizing that many players aren't getting enough technical skill work at team practices. How are player supposed to catch up if they are consistently not getting as much playing time? Coaches and clubs have a lot on their plate and are forced to spend a lot of time on the tactical or physical aspects of the game. As a result, the individual’s skill development may suffer. Players of all levels need to be consistent with their skill work to stay sharp and continue to improve. The player then has to either develop it on his own, hire a private trainer, or go to a clinic or camp. While these do provide high rep skills training, they are short term (usually less than a week). If skill development is a long term commitment, why are all of the options only short term? Higher cost seems to be a barrier for many players to continue these options long term. Our goal was to create a skill development option that would take the high rep training of clinics or camps, and make it long term or year long. To do this it needed to be more affordable to make the training sustainable. Through this model, Skill Drill Training has been able to grow to over 350 players in a short time. We have done this with no website (until now) or advertising. Just word of mouth and providing high quality training at a more affordable price.
